WetHotAmericanSummer10YearsLater_Feat(PCM) It’s been fifteen years since the release of David Wain’s summer camp satire Wet Hot American Summer and we’re finally being treated to a sequel! In the form of a series!

Netflix announced the development of the series, consisting of eight 30-minute episodes, today with the release of an announcement teaser.

The teaser comes straight from the end of Wet Hot American Summer when all of the camp counselors are gathering for their last meeting of the summer, and succinctly sums up the straight-forward premise of the sequel.

“Let’s all promise that in ten years from today, we’ll meet again, and we’ll see what kind of people we’ve blossomed into,” suggests Ben (Bradley Cooper).

Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later will most likely follow the same format as the prequel series, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, where the first day of camp was chronicled over eight 30-minute episodes.

Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later is scheduled to premiere on Netflix in 2017 and will be written by Michael Showalter and David Wain with Wain directing.
